Design and Emotion

Perception

Can you identify the numbers?

This piece of text is amazing! Because we have read a lot in our lifetime it is crazy that we can still read this even though it is jumbled up. That’s our brain recognising the words that they are meant to say. I love this piece and it is amazing how we can still read it.

These three images are great. I have done a similar thing back when I was at college. This is good photography work. It shows how you can make an object look big, or even small. The coke bottle isn’t actually that big but what the creator has done is take a close up image of the bottle and then a far away image of the person. This then makes it look like the coke bottle is huge and he is standing on it. Same with the mobile phone; they have just put the phone a distance away and then take a picture of the hand close up. It’s all about the perception of the shot and it makes a funny but well created image.

In this image it makes you think that there are only three F’s. But if you look closely there is in fact 6. It’s because our brain doesn’t register the ‘of’. There are 3 of them so this makes it up to a total of 6 F’s. Its weird how our brains don’t register it when we are reading it.
